Privacy Policy

Genlet is an app and Safari extension made by Andrew Prifer. This policy explains what Genlet collects, why, and what you can do about it. If you have a question, write to support@genlet.com.
What Genlet collects
- Your account. When you sign in with Apple, Apple gives Genlet an identifier for your account and, if you choose to share them, your email address (which may be a private relay address) and your name.
- What you ask, and what Genlet reads to answer. Your messages, and the parts of web pages Genlet works with to answer or act for you: page text, links, screenshots of the page, and the element you drag it onto. Genlet only reads pages while it's working on something you asked.
- Usage. For each request, which AI model handled it and how much it used, to count it against your weekly allowance.
- Diagnostic reports. When you send a debug report, or when the app detects that it got stuck, a report of recent interface events goes to Genlet: what was tapped and dragged, what the helper showed, the address of the site (its host only), and your device's browser version. It can include short excerpts of the conversation.
Your settings (such as the helper's name, color and size) stay on your device. Genlet doesn't use advertising identifiers, doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and doesn't sell your data.
How it's used
Only to run Genlet: to answer you and carry out what you ask, to keep your conversation going from one page to the next, to apply your weekly allowance, and to find and fix problems.
Who else handles it
- OpenAI runs the AI models. Your messages and the page content needed for each request are sent to OpenAI's API to produce an answer. Under OpenAI's API terms, this data isn't used to train their models.
- Vercel hosts Genlet's server, and Neon hosts its database, in the United States.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and distributes the app.
How long it's kept, and deleting it
Your account, conversations, usage records and diagnostic reports are kept until you delete your account. You can do that at any time in the Genlet app (Delete Account), which removes all of it from Genlet's database straight away. You can also ask by email.
Children
Genlet isn't intended for children under 13.
